Bollards are all around us since they usually
prevent motor vehicles from bumping into objects.
Most of the 10 million bollards in the U.S.
are upright posts that usually need scraping
and painting every six to 12 months.
When Encore Commercial Products, Inc. was
launched by Bruce, Ron and Stuart in 2002,
they wanted to create a bollard cover that
was attractive and durable. And the product
had to pay for itself by saving on maintenance
costs plus offers the easiest and most secure
installation method in the industry.
Since Encore is based in metro Detroit, we
know a thing or two about cars and trucks
– and extreme weather conditions. So after
engineering and testing many designs, the
first POST GUARD was manufactured in late
2002.
Customers really liked it. Within a short
time, we created POST GUARD in a variety of
widths, lengths and attractive colors using
the maximum UV protection available.
The nice looking bollard cover quickly became
known for its lower cost and its two recessed
reflective stripes that increase visibility
and safety.
You will now find POST GUARD bollard covers
at banks, fast food restaurants, schools,
hospitals, airports, gas stations, self-storage
facilities, shopping centers, car washes,
parking garages, and virtually every type
of facility you can imagine!
Today a growing network
of distributors and installers offer POST
GUARD bollard covers in all states including
Alaska and Hawaii, and in Canada, Mexico,
